This icon depicts Christ’s victory over death: descending into Hades, breaking its gates, and raising Adam and Eve from their tombs. Surrounded by divine light, Christ stands over shattered doors and chains, symbols of death and sin overcome. The Resurrection is presented as liberation and new life for all humanity.

Egg tempera on linden wood with gilding, 50 × 70 cm. Executed according to the Byzantine and Orthodox tradition with an Italic stylistic interpretation, the work combines sacred gold, symbolic light, and refined tempera technique to create an image meant for contemplation and devotion.
